Kokoi Baldo Ends Journey in The Voice Ph Season 2 (Video)

Reggae-singer Kokoi Baldo ends his journey in the country’s most popular singing competition, The Voice of the Philippines Season 2 on Sunday, February 15, 2015. The elimination of Kokoi Baldo is considered as a shocker in the Twitter-trending competition as Coach Sarah Geronimo decided to stick to her decision and chose Monique Lualhati to proceed to next round of the competition.

The live performance and elimination night of “The Voice of the Philippines” on Sunday ended with a major shocker after reggae singer Kokoi Baldo was eliminated from Team Sarah.

The Bacolod-based reggae singer, Kokoi Baldo performed the song popularized by “The Police” titled “Message in a Bottle,” earning him praise from the coaches of the country’s Twitter-trending singing competition.

Coach Apl.de.Ap noted that he really loved Kokoi Baldo’s rendition of the song and he was quoted as saying “Alam mo talagang nakakaaliw kang mag-perform, ‘yung mga galaw mo, ‘yung tono ng boses mo, para kang modern-day Bob Marley. Kahit anong kantahin mo, talagang natatatakan mo ng pagka-Kokoi. Congratulations,” apl.de.ap told Baldo.

The coach of Kokoi Baldo, coach Sarah Geronimo was also proud for Kokoi’s performance, however, the reggae singer was sent home by the Pop Star Princess, who decided to save Monique Lualhati, one of the top 2 finalists of Coach Sarah who will move on to the semi-finals of the competition.

Team Sarah’s Jason Dy, who received the highest percentage of viewers’ votes for the team, will advance to the semi-finals next week alongside Monique Lualhati, they will represent Team Sarah in the semis.
