Binibining Pilipinas 2015 candidate No. 1 is Miss Samantha Barbara Balbin from Quezon City, Metro Manila. Samantha Balbin is a registered nurse who loves to play chess during her free time.
The 26-year-old Samantha Balbin stands at 5 feet and 6 inches tall, the height limit of the country’s most popular beauty pageant, the Binibining Pilipinas, wherein the winner will represent the country in the Miss Universe competition.
Candidate No. 1 Samantha Balbin is considered by some pageant experts as an indie girl, because she is neither allied with one of the two major beauty camps in the country, nor trained by the smaller ones, but she is self trained and a skilled contestant.
In an interview with Bb. Pilipinas foundation, Samantha Balbin noted that joining Bb. Pilipinas 2015, the 52nd edition of Bb. Pilipinas, was a big step for her and if given a chance to represent the country in international competition she is more than willing to showcase her beauty and talents internationally.
The Bb. Pilipinas 2015 coronation night will be held this coming March 15, 2015 at the historic Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City. Reigning titleholders MJ Lastimosa, Mary Anne Bianca Guidott, Kris Tiffany Janson, Yvette Marie Santiago, and Parul Shah will crown their successors at the end of the event.
