Binay Family & Makati City Gave P100,000 Cash to 15 Wounded PNP-SAF Troopers

The City of Makati and the family of Vice President Jejomar Binay gave cash to each of the 15 PNP-SAF troopers who were wounded during the January 25 clash in Mamasapano, Maguindanao which cost the lives of the 44 member of the elite PNP-SAF commandos. A total of P100,000 each were given to the families of the PNP-SAF survivors.

Vice President Jejomar Binay and his children, Sen. Nancy Binay and Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay, invited the wounded commandos to lunch were they extended the financial assistance from the Makati government.

According to the Vice President, after his family learned that those who survived may no longer be able to go back to active duty because of their injuiries, they decided to raise the amount to P100,000 from the previous P50,000 financial assistance.

The Vice President also added further that he hopes the amount could help cover the family’s expenditures on the treatment and therapy of those PNP-SAF troopers who were wounded during the Mamasapano clash.

The P100,000 amount given to the wounded elite members of the PNP were also the same with the previous amount allocated by the City government of Makati for each of the slain 44 PNP-SAF troopers’ families.
