Team Lea Salonga of The Voice Philippines Season 2 is now down to just five members after another contestant bid goodbye to the competition on Sunday night, January 25, 2015. Coach Lea Salonga decided to eliminate some of her team members for the next phase of the country’s most popular singing competition.
During the Saturday’s episode of The Voice of the Philippines, Abbey Pineda, Leah Patricio and Nino Alejandro showcased their talents in the first live performance of the week.
Leah Patricio performed the song “Queen of the Night” by Whitney Houston, and her performance garnered 46.37% of the viewers’ votes and guaranteed her a spot in the next round.
Nino Alejandro performed his own rendition of the song “Nakapagtataka” popularized by his uncle Hajji Alejandro and he was saved by Coach Lea Salonga on his journey to the next round of the competition.
The remaining five members of Team Lea are Leah Patricio, Nino Alejandro, Casper Blancaflor, Miro Valero and Timothy Pavino.
