The ECA International released their latest Location Ratings for Expatriates naming Singapore as the most liveable location in Asia because of its solid infrastructure, low pollution and low crime. The city of Singapore also ranked first in the global rankings of ECA International.
Aside from Singapore, there are four other Asian Cities who ranked in the Top 10 global rankings. A total of four Japanese cities were included in 2015 Asian rankings namel Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo and Yokohama which took the second to fifth place.
ECA International’s regional director in Asia Lee Quane noted that Singapore’s “good air quality, solid infrastrucure, decent medical facilities, low crimed and health risks” have contributed to Singapore in maintaining its position at the top of the global ranking for quality of living in Asia.
In the list of the Top 10 Most Liveable Citis in Asia, the other topnotchers are Hong Kong, Taipei, Busan, Macau, and Seoul. The Philippines’ Metro Manila jumped only one spot to 37 this year’s ranking from the 38th spot in 2014. In the global ranking, Metro Manila took the 178th spot.
In Asia’s largest country, the Mainland China, the city of Shanghai is the most liveable city, ranking 13th in Asia. Aside from the most liveable citie sin Asia, the lists also includes the worst cities.
The Pakistani cities of Islamabad and Karachi have the region’s worst scores ranking 53rd and 54th, respectively.
