International singer and world-renowned Miss Saigon artist, Lea Salonga gives a piece of advice to Manny Pacquiao, who was chosen as one of the few judges who will be setting at the forefront of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, the Miss Universe.
As a former judge of Miss Universe, Lea Salonga noted that Manny Pacquiao will surely have a great time sitting as a judge of the contest. She was quoted as saying “I don’t know who the rest of the panelists are but I think Manny will have a good time. When you’re there, you have to be really objective and you become really really objective like ‘How does this person look in her bathing suit?’” she stated.
According to Lea Salonga, Manny Pacquiao have to look at the bigger picture of the competition. She stated that “Hindi lang puwedeng big picture lang [ang titingnan mo]. You have to look at it like, ‘Oh this is not falling well. The proportions are wrong.’ You get really nitpicky with everything,” she said.
The 43-year-old Lea Salonga also stressed how difficult it is when you sit as a judge live, after she became part of the Miss Universe panelists during the year 2011, where Shamcey Supsup took home the third runner-up title for the Philippines.
Manny Pacquiao, one of the world’s greatest boxing icon, will be among the judges in the 2015 Miss Universe beauty pageant which will be held this coming January 25 in Miami, Florida.
Representing the Philippines in the world’s most prestigious beauty pageant, is MJ Lastimosa from Mindanao who will attempt to bring home the country’s third Miss Universe crown.
