The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority already released the list of roads and major thoroughfares that will be closed during the highly anticipated visit of Pope Francis this coming January 15 up to 19, 2015. The MMDA advised the public that those who will see the Pope during his first two days in Manila will have to leave their houses as early as four to five hours before the scheduled appearance of the Pope.
Pope Francis is expected to arrive at the Villamor Airbase at around 6:00 PM on January 15, and wil be heading towards the Apostolic Nunciature in Manila.
According to MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino roads heading to Villamor Airbase in Pasay City will be closed at about 3:00 PM onwards with a total length of 22.30 kilometers, which include Villamor Airbase Gate 5; Andrews Avenue; Domestic Road; NAIA; Roxas Boulevard; Quirino Ave.; and Taft Avenue.
Other roads to be closed with a total of 17.44 km., are Sales Bridge; SLEX/SKYWAY-Magallanes; Osmena Highway; and Quirino Avenue.

Along Kabihasnan, turn right at Coastal Road, turn left at Pacific Avenue, turn right at Macapagal Boulevard, turn right at EDSA, turn left at Arnaiz Avenue, turn right at Amorsolo Street, turn left at Rufino Street, turn right at Chino Roces Avenue, turn left at J.P. Rizal, straight to Tejeron, to destination.
From EDSA to Coastal:
Along EDSA, turn left at Macapagal Boulevard, left at Pacific Avenue, turn right at Coastal Road, to destination.
From Taft Avenue to Manila:
