Some MMDA personnel who were assigned to form a human barricade near the Black Nazarene have worn the diapers. While some of the MMDA enforcers refused to wear the adult diapers during the entire event.
The MMDA already purchased the adult diapers and made a trial run during the “traslacion” as the agency expected a bigger crowd next week in anticipation of Pope Francis visit to the country.
MMDA personnel are tasked to marshall crowds which is expected to run into the million mark. According to an earlier statement released by MMDA, the wearing of adult diapers have been use in major historical events worldwide.
The adult diapers are actually being used regularly as standard operating gear for soldiers belonging to NATO and the US Army fighting against Taliban in 2012.
