The Popemobile was spotted on its way through the streets and remained elusive to passersby as half of it was covered aside from being guarded and escorted by Presidential Security Group (PSG).

Based upon the frontal view of the all-white jeepney design, it is highlighted by two green glass crosses on either side of the driver and passenger’s sides.

A Papal Insignia was also seen next to the green cross while a larger Papal Insignia was also seen on the hood of the Popemobile. According to some sources, the design of the Popemobile remains simple and accessible, in line with the requests of Pope Francis.

The Pope Mobile was delivered to the PSG compound, while the Filipino church officials earlier noted in an interview that the vehicle will be open and “not bulletproof” to accommodate the demands of the visiting church leader.

Pope Francis earlier announced that he prefers to use open-top cars rather than the Vatican’s bulletproof “popemobile” used by previous pontiffs.
