Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado who was recently hailed as the Best Actress at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) admitted that she agreed to wear a two-piece swimsuit for her new TV series titled “Second Chances.”
In a press conference for the series, the “English Only, Please” said that she will portray the role of Lyra, the wife of Luis Alandy’s character who will soon fall in love with Raymart Santiago.
According to Jennylyn Mercado, her character is very different from her and it is different from the characters she has portrayed from her previous television series on GMA.
“May asawa, may anak at may tragedy na mangyayari then dun na masusubukan ang pagkatatag ni Lyra…kung bibigyan ba niya ng second chance ang ibang tao,” she said.
The 27-year-old actress admitted also that she have worn a two-piece swimwear during the shoot for she is willing to do what is needed for her to play her role well. “Nag two-piece ako diyan. Kahit ang dami kong stretch marks! Sabi ko sa kanila, kayo nang bahala, alalayan n’yo na lang ako,” she said.
Directed by Laurice Guillen, “Second Chances” also stars Camille Prats and Rafael Rosell. It is set to premiere on Monday January 12, 2015 replacing the series “Hiram Na Alaala” on GMA’s Telebabad block.
Meanwhile, Jennylyn Mercado is also promoting the movie “English Only, Please” with kapatid actor Derek Ramsay. It is one of the official entries of MMFF which earned her the Best Actress award.
