Hollywood production company, Walt Disney Pictures released on New Year’s Eve 2015, the photos of Sarah Geronimo portraying the lead role Rapunzel from the 2010 animated film “Tangled.” The photos were released by Disney Channel Asia, through their official Facebook Page, the photos of Sarah Geronimo portraying the fabled character.
Before the introduction of Sarah Geronimo as Rapunzel, Disney Channel Asia made a series of post providing clues on the identities of 12 princess characters to be included in a still-unannounced project in Southeast Asia.
During the fourth of 12 days when clues are to be given out, Disney Channel shared a behind-the-scenes video of the “transformation” of 12 actress for their respective portrayals.
In the recent photos released by Disney, the 26-year-old Sarah Geronimo was seen with a blonde wig and putting on make-up for the shoot.
Aside from Sarah Geronimo who was chosen to play to as Rapunzel for “Tangled,” another ABS-CBN star, Kim Chiu, was also seen preparing for a similar pictorial, which means that the lovely young lady from Cebu City was cast in a Disney Channel Asia production.
Last October, Disney and Chiu, in separate statements, confirmed that she had been selected to portray Mulan from the 1998 animated film in an unspecified project.
