The kapamilya hunk actor Zanjoe Marudo credited the success of the newest ABS-CBN TV series “Dream Dad” to his co-star, child actress and former “Honesto” star Jana Agoncillo.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate said that he was overwhelmed on the success of “Dream Dad,” adding that he is happy for Jana Agoncillo for being dedicated to her work.
“Siyempre overwhelming na ang ganda ng tanggap ng tao kahit bago itong ginawa ko, light at wholesome. Napakasaya namin. Happy ako doon sa bata kasi ‘yung dedication ng bata sa trabaho at napakanatural niyang umarte. Kaya lahat ng blessings na natatanggap niya ngayon deserve niya ‘yon,” he said.
“Dream Dad,” which debuted on primetime on November 24, 2014, has immediately become the most watched program in the country for the month of November after garnering a nationwide ratings of 30. 1%, according to Kantar Media.
According to Zanjoe Maurdo, he and Jana Agoncillo had undergone several workshops together before they shoot for the show so that they will be comfortable working with each other.
Jana Agoncillo came to prominence after appearing on the popular TV commercial of fast-food restaurant, McDonald’s. After she starred in “Honesto,” she also played the role of young KC Concepcion in the hit series “Ikaw Lamang Book 2.”
“Dream Dad,” directed by Jeffrey Deturian, also stars Beauty Gonzalez, Neri Naig, Maxene Magalona, Gloria Diaz, Ariel Ureta, Katya Santos and Ketchup Eusebio. It airs from Monday to Friday after “TV Patrol.”
