The Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo defended her fellow “The Voice Of The Philippines” coach, award-winning singer Lea Salonga, who vented out her anger at an audience member for supposedly leaking the results of Battle Rounds.
On Tuesday December 2, 2014, the Broadway singer took her Twitter account and cursed at someone who has been revealing the results of the singing competition online. She also suggested that ABS-CBN would no longer invite outside audiences.
“The Voice of The Philippines Battle Rounds” was taped in advance and will only be aired on Television starting this Saturday December  6, 2014. The management warned also their followers not to post the  results or else they will be banned/block from their official Facebook and Twitter accounts.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News Gretchen Fullido, Sarah Geronimo said that she was disappointed also that the results were leaked because they don’t want to take away the thrill and excitement from the viewers.
“Siyempre po, nakaka disappoint. kasi as much as possible, we would like the confidentiality atsaka ‘yung thrill ba, ‘yung excitement kung sino ‘yung mananalo na artist, kung sino ‘yung mapapabilang sa final six namin,” she said.
According to the singer-actress, Lea Salonga is a very outspoken and she will say what is right. She also said that she and all the coaches worked hard to tape the episodes to give the viewers a good show.
“Si Ms. Lea kasi is very outspoken. Talagang sasabihin niya talaga kung ano ‘yung sasabihin niyang tama, and she has all the right naman, ‘di ba. Coach siya atsaka pinagpaguran namin ‘yan lahat, ng mga artists, ‘di ba,” she said.
