The country’s weather bureau, PAGASA released online their hourly update of Bagyong Ruby (Hagupit) as it nears its forecast landfall in Eastern Samar. Bagyong Ruby maintained its strength, packing maximum sustained winds of 195 kph with gusts of 230 kph and was last spotted at 230 km East Northeast of Borongan, Eastern Samar at around 7:00 AM today, December 6, 2014.
Bagyong Ruby is forecasts to move West but now going slower at 10 kilometers per hour compared to the 15 kph movement yesterday afternoon. The weather disturbance, was expected by PAGAS to make a landfall on Saturday night or Sunday morning over the Eastern Samar-Northern Samar area.

The country’s weather bureau already raised the public storm warning signals into No. 3, affecting the areas of Samar, Eastern Samar and Northern Samar which should expect a maximum sustained winds of 105-185 kph in at least 18 hours.
Signal No. 2 was raised in the areas of Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Ticao Island, Biliran, Leyte, Southern Leyte, northern Cebu, Cebu City, Bantayan Island, Camotes Island, Dinagat Province.
Signal No. 1 was hoisted over Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Burias Island, Romblon, Southern Quezon, Marinduque, Capiz, Iloilo, Antique, Guimaras, Aklan, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, rest of Cebu, Siquijor, Bohol, Surigao del Sur, Surigao del Norte, Siargao Island, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Camiguin.
