Juris Guitarist Mic Llave Joined Team Lea Salonga on The Voice Ph (Video)

Juris Guitarist, Mic Llave joined Team Lea Salonga in the Voice of the Philippines Season 2 after his performance on Sunday, November 30, 2014, which impressed the Season 1 winning coach. Mic Llave has been playing the guitar when he was just 10 years old and he currently plays for Juris Fernandez.

During the blind audition of The Voice of the Philippines, the 27-year-old guitarist performed his own rendition of the song popularizeed by Apo Hiking Society titled “Panalangin,” which made coach Lea Salonga turn for him on Sunday night’s episode of the top-rating show.

Coach Lea Salonga was so impressed with the rendition of Mic Llave and she was quoted as saying “I liked how refreshing it sounded. I’m so happy nung nakikinig ako sa ‘yo, na gumigitara lang, kumakanta, parang walang effort, walang hirap. Congrats, you made it on my team,” Lea Salonga said.

The other three judges were also impressed with the unique rendition of Mic Llave, Coach Apl.de.Ap noted that he like the way Mic Llave’s made a bouncy rendition of the song. Coach Bamboo was also impressed as he stated that the song was so personal for him, because one his artist, Paolo Onesa performed the song during the season 1.

Mic Llave joined Team Lea’s aspiring list of singers namely Charles Catbagan, Christelle Tiquis, Nino Alejandro, Humfrey Nicasio, Jem Cubil, Carl Tanhueco, Leah Patricio, Miro Valera, Philippe Go, Thara Jordana, and Timothy Pavino.
