OLX Sulit Merges With AyosDito to Form one Single Classified Ads Network

The country’s two largest classified ads network, OLX Sulit and AyosDito will joined together to create a single classified ad networks in the Philippines. The announcement was made by classified competitors Naspers, Singapore Press Holdings, Schibsted Media Group and Telenor.

According to the announcement made y classified ads giants operations in Indonesia, Bangladesh, Thailand and the Philippines will be affected with the changes. In the Philippines OLX is currently owned by Naspers while competing sites AyosDito is owned by Singapore Press Holdings.

For the past few years the two biggest competing classified ads giants have been competing fiercely to dominate the market,they uses various ways to attract customers through billboards, bus ads, and even TV commercials. In the Philippines OLX, the former Sulit.com.ph got a bigger market share at 60%.

According to the latest merger between OLX and AyosDito, the company AyosDito will be close and all users will be redirected to OLX starting on January 2015. Right now its business as usual for both OLX and AyosDito.

Aside from OLX.ph and AyosDito merger in the Philippines, the company behind the two classified ad giants will also affect other operations in Southeast Asia. In Indonesia, OLX will merge with Berniaga; in Thailand OLX will merge with Kaidee.com; in Bangladesh OLX will merged with Ekhanei.com.

In the Philippines right after the announced merger of OLX.ph and AyosDito.ph, the only remaining competitor of the company are the technology focused company TipidPC and TipidCP, aside from the local unit of ebay Philippines, ebay.ph.
