The first-ever four-chair turner of the second edition of the country’s most popular singing competition, The Voice of the Philippines Season 2, was identified as Tanya Gomez, a rock vocalist who performed the song “What About Love,” during the October 26, 2014 episode of the show.
The 27-year-old Tanya Diaz came from a family of musicians and hails from Mandaluyong City. Her mother is a singer-songwriter, while his father is a musical arranger, the brothers of Tanya were also involved in music.

During the pilot episode of the top-rating and top-trending show, The Voice PH Season 2, Tanya Diaz performed a remarkable rendition of the popular song “What About Love,” to the delight of all the four judges who decided to push their respective chairs and turned for her.
The first to turn his chair was Coach Bamboo Manalac who noted that he was lost for words and knew that Tanya is something special adding further that he was so grateful that Tanya decided to join the singing competition.
Coach Bamboo was followed by the youngest coach and judge, Sarah Geronimo who was quoted saying that “Tanya, ikaw ang isa sa mga hinahanap ko. Sobrang amazing, ‘yung ang linis kumanta, pero grabe kung mag-growl. Paano niyo ‘yun… mga lalamunan niyo. Tanya, kailangan na kailangan kita sa team ko. We’ll do anything for you,” Sarah Geronimo said right after Tanya Diaz’ performance.
Coach Lea Salonga was the third to push the red button and noted after the performance of the aspiring singer was really great, she stated further that “You have everything, all the technical tools, emotionally, you’re there,” Lea Salonga stated.
Coach Apl.de.ap on his part was the last coach who pushed the red button and noted that Diaz really brought the house down. He was quoted as saying “You brought the house down. Alam mo, kailangan mo akong piliin, kasi kapag hindi mo ako pinili, para akong traffic sa EDSA, I cannot move on without you,” apl.de.ap. told Diaz.
At the end of Tanya Diaz’ performance she eventually decided to join Camp Kawayan mentored by Pinoy Rock icon, Bamboo Manalac and became the group’s first member.
