Miss Valerie Weigmann, a former PBB Teen housemate was declared as the winner of the 2014 Miss World Philippines, one of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the country today. She will follow the footsteps of actress Megan Young who represented the Philippines and won the Miss World 2013 crown during last year’s beauty pageant.

The model and TV host Valerie Weigmann won the Miss World title during the coronation night held on Sunday, September 12, 2014 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Aside from winning the overall title, Miss Valerie Weigmann also dominated the special awards of the Miss World Philippines 2014, winning a total of 12 titles after the competition. She won the Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimwear, Best in Fashion Runway, Miss World Camsur, Miss Solaire, Miss Figlia, Jessie Mendez Salon Ambassador, Miss Reducin, Miss Bluewater Day Spa, Miss Bench, Miss Olay and Miss Hana.
Valerie Weigmann was able to win the title with runners-up in the Miss World Philippines 2014 include Lorraine Kendrickson (First Princess), Nelda Ibe (Second Princess), Nicole Donesa (Third Princess) and Rachel Peters (Fourth Princess).
During the start of the Miss World 2014 beauty pageant, Miss Valerie Weigmann noted that she joined the beauty pageant to raise awareness for the needs of the Aeta community based in Tarlac.
The 2008 PBB housemate and current Miss World 2014 title-holder, Miss Valerie Weigmann will represent the Philippines in the Miss World 2014 beauty pageant which will be held in London this coming November 2014.
