Far Eastern University standout Mark (Mac) Belo was instrumental in defeating the depending UAAP Champion De La Salle University on their crucial game on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Mac Belo scored the final shot of the game that broke La Salle’s dream of depending the UAAP title. With FEU’s victory the team secured a slot in the Finals against NU.

Mac Belo’s three-pointer at the buzzer lift the FEU Tamaraws to a dramatic 67-64 victory over La Salle, and they will advance to the UAAP Finals in the 77th edition of the basketball tournament.
The FEU big man received a perfect pass during the last few seconds of the game from FEU’s point guard Mike Tolomia and Belo hit nothing but net as the final buzzer sounds, which also trigger a wild celebration among the Tamaraw’s supporters who almost filled half of the Araneta Coliseum on Wednesday.
The victory of the FEU Tamaraws will put the team on their first-ever UAAP Finals appearance since Season 74 of the UAAP, they will take on fourth-seeded National University who defeated the Ateneo Blue Eagles in a dramatic finished also.
Mac Belo shines the brightest among the FEU stars as he scored the 12 points of the Tamaraws 16 markers in the fourth quarter and finished with a remarkable 23 points at the game against depending champion La Salle Green Archers.
