The 2014 Bench Fashion show indeed received a lot of bad feed backs from people. Somewhat, this fashion show had been very controversial after it was held last September 20, 2014.
In relation to this, chairman and CEO of Suyen Corp as well as the owner of Bench brand Ben Chan apologized to “Ikaw Lamang” star Coco Martin for what had happened in the show. Coco is one of those celebrities that were been criticized on the show.
Indeed, this was because of the his appearance on holding a tied lead of a female model. With it, many had said that the actor did was against the rights of every women.
One of those who had showed great concern regarding this matter was the women’s party-list dubbed as “Gabriela.” They really don’t what they see during that time. Perhaps, they really fight for every rights of each woman and this one is very against it. In addition, it also seemed that it did not respect the dignity of every women.
On the official account of Bench in Instagram, Chan’s statement of apology was posted. Based on it, the show and he himself don’t really intend to offend anybody on the show. In addition, he also explained the role given to Coco on the Bench Fashion Show. The role is to portray a character in a circus scene of our theater show.
He also apologized for offending some person’s sensitivities. At the end, he assured that the brand will try hard to achieve the dignity of people.
Also, Bench had issued their apology to the public for some offensive concept of the show.
This said fashion show featured hundred of models that includes many local celebrities who wear Bench collections in the runway. It happened last September 20, 2014.

natural lang umalma ang iba’t ibang sektor na promo-protekta sa kapakanan ng kababaihan! oo nga’t for show at hindi totoo na ganun kababa yung tingin nila sa mga kababaihan! but hindi ba kayo na-hu hurt or na offend na depicted ang isang babae na parang aso??? nanay nyo mga babae uy! art, art kamo! pwe!!! eh soft p*** show na talaga yun noh?! mga lalaking celebrities na uhaw na uhaw na umingay ang pangalan sa showbiz may pa-hagod, kambyo kambyo pa sa mga organs nila! eh the company is selling underwear for crying out loud! yung cheap stunts na ginagawa nila contradicts to the company’s aim to generate profits! ang lalake kapag napa-kambyo eh ibig sabihin lang nun eh hindi comfortable ang pair of underwear na suot-suot nila! bebenta ba ang mga brief na irarampa sa fashion show kung ganong ang inasta ng mga nag-modelo nito?! sa totoo lang, mas pro at decent pa yung ginagawa nung mga male models dun kasi hindi sila papansin!
at yang apology na yan, may nauna na silang inilabas pero na-delete at ngayon na inulit nila eh parang mas hiyang-hiya pa sila sa impact ng mga naganap kay coco martin! doesn’t sound right to me! parang labas sa ilong yung apology tungkol dun mismo sa controversial segment at trying hard pa to justify their actions.
