Thousand of protesters marched against the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III. They walked along the street of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City.
They started walking as earlier as 8 am this morning starting from Quezon City Memorial Circle going to Commonwealth Avenue.
However, they were just demanded to be just until there. There were positioned concrete railings, barbed wires and a phalanx of anti riot policemen.
The protesters just stayed on that place and then they conducted a mini program. The mini program is about scoring the government of Aquino against Disbursement Acceleration Program. Which in fact was already been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.
They also burned one effigy.
As the time passed away, another group of group of protesters have joined them. They brought bigger effigies with them which depicts President Aquino as the pork barrel king.
According to them, there were a total of 30, 000 people who joined in the rally however the police just say that its just 7500 of them.
What would be the result of this rally by some protesters against Pnoy? What’s important at the moment is to have the security of the said protesters.
Even if there’s an on going rally outside the hall, the SONA of the President will still push through.
