“OUSTagram” Booth of Youth Activist Group

A group of young activist placed a make shift photo booth along Commonwealth Avenue and named it as “OUSTagram Booth.” This is a form of protests on the 5th State of the Nation Address of President Benigno Aquino III.

The said students took pictures of the protesters with placards and streamers that states their sentiments. National Network of Agrarian Reform Advocates (NNARA) which helps them to inform the public of their stand against Aquino’s pursuance of his Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).

NNRA youth is an organization of students from University of the Philippines and Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

The said photo booth had a streamer with “OUSTagram: Ano ang Hugot mo?” words. 

“It is clear for the Filipino people that DAP was not used for development since they simply could not feel it. So-called development are felt only by the plunderers,” said Lei Mora, Chairperson of NNARA.

In addition the photos taken in this photo booth will be uploaded on Instragram and any other social media sites.

They also added that social media can be a great instrument to show some of the un-fun happiness of realities of someone’s life. This is just one of its many use. In addition, they also say that its about time to make social media useful in other way.
