Deniece Cornejo Airs Statement About Life in Prison

Controversial model Deniece Cornejo aired a statement about her life in prison since she got detained last May 5, 2014 after she surrendered.

Deniece Cornejo who has been detained in a detention facility of Criminal Investigation and Detention Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame in Quezon City for more than a month was granted an exclusive interview by the Philippine Entertainment Portal along with her legal counsel Atty. Ferdinand Topacio where she shared her life inside prison.

“Mainit talaga. ‘Tapos may malalaking daga. One time nag-uusap kami ng kaibigan ko na naka-detain, ‘tapos pumunta sa dibdib niya yung daga na basa. Nilipat niya sa akin. Sabi ko, ‘Ayoko! Ano ba ‘to, hindi na ako makakatulog.’ Pero ngayon, wala na. Hindi na ako naninibago. Pusong-bato na ako,” she said.

According to the 23-year-old former commercial model, there are times that at least 10 detainees were housed in a narrow detention cell where she resides.

Deniece Cornejo who was detained over serious illegal detention case filed by actor host Vhong Navarro in relation with his mauling last January 22, 2014 noted that she has already coped up about living a life in prison.

Vhong Navarro’s complainant now sleeps in a mat which serves as her bed chamber every night. Aside from her pillow and blanket, Deniece Cornejo has had other valuables. The situation of the model inside the detention cell is far enough on her condo unit in Forbeswood Heights in Taguig City where she previously stayed.
