Legendary singer Lionel Richie revealed to the media that he was the mentor of the Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars. According to the legendary “Hello” singer Lionel Richie, his student, Bruno Mars is one of the best singer on his genre.
The 60-year-old singer Lionel Richie noted that he started lecturing Bruno Mars on the backstage in one of Lionel Richie’s shows in Germany and asked him for advice on career longevity.
The singer who sold more than 100 million records worldwide, Lionel Richie responded to the 28-year-old “Grenade” hitmaker that “Don’t worry you’re doing just fine.”
Lionel Richie narrated on how he tutored Bruno Mars, he was quoted as saying “The new generation are discovering that guys like me can do melodies. Bruno Mars is a killer for melodies and lyrics, and he came to my show.” he said.
Lionel Richie added further that “These new guys are hungry for longevity. Daft Punk’s album shares some of that R&B sound, and they know it’s all about writing great songs.” he narrated.
While Lionel Richie concedes that his mentee could stray from the straight and narrow, he’s confident that the Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars will always find his way.
