Rocky Loreto Rosabal: First Runner Up in The Voice of McDonald’s (VOM)

Rocky Loreto Rosabal won as first runner up in The Voice of McDonald’s (VOM) singing competition after he sang Journey’s “Faithfully” in the grand finals held in Florida, USA. The Filipino finalist brought home $17,500 as first runner up as one of the finalist in the competition.

The Filipino service crew who showcased his singing ability in the competition also won a $5,000 cash prize for being hailed as the Fan Favorite. The winner of the competition was awarded to Lucila Ospitia of McDonald’s Colombia, who took home the $25,000 grand prize.

The second runner up was awarded to Ashlae Nelms of McDonald’s Illinois, USA while Patrick Reis of McDonald’s Switzerland was named as third runner up in “The Voice of McDonald’s” international singing competition.

Rocky Loreto Rosabal who worked as a service crew at McDonald’s Cagayan de Oro, was among the 58,000 hopefuls from 63 countries worldwide who joined the global singing competition organized by international fast food chain McDonald’s.

On his official Facebook Page Rocky Loreto Rosabal thanked his supporters and friends by posting the following message: “I would like to say thank you sa lahat po ng sumoporta at sa lahat po ng naniwala sa akin. Maraming salamat po friends, family and kababayan. Maraming salamat po! Proud to be Pinoy!” Rosabal posted on FB.

The singing competition, “The Voice of McDonald’s” recongized and rewarded talented singers among its over one million crew and managers working in McDonald’s restaurants around the world.

In an interview with ABS-CBN”s Balitang Amerika, Rosabal was quoted as saying “VOM is a life-changing journey that means everything to me,” Rosabal said. “I would not be where I am right now without this experience and opportunity, and I want to thank everyone who supported me.” he added.
