Two of Kapamilya Channel’s prized actor Piolo Pascual and Gerald Anderson will reunite onscreen as they will co-hosts a sports-advocacy show titled “Team U,” which aims to help young athletes reach their potential. Gerald and Piolo were last seen together in the highly-acclaimed international movie “On The Job.”
The highly anticipated sports show “Team U,” is scheduled to start airing this coming Sundays of June 2014 on ABS-CBN Sports+Action. The show will tour several public schools to improve their respective sports programs as revealed by Piolo Pascual.
The former “On The Job” stars Piolo and Gerald will reunite not in another action movie but as host of a sports-advocacy show project of ABS-CBN. According to the 37-year-old Piolo Pascual, they will tour around public schools and tap young athletes who have potential to become better at what they do through their coaches.
During the first season of “Team U,” Gerald Anderson and Piolo Pascual will visit four schools in Manila, General Santos City and Cebu as revealed by Piolo Pascual. Aside from Piolo Pascual and Gerald Anderson, some of the country’s most popular sports personalities will join them such as volleyball star Gretchen Ho, football players Anton and Armand del Rosario and basketball player Marco Benitez.
Gerald Anderson also noted that the new show, “Team U” will also feature a behind-the-scenes look at preparations of Filipino athletes who will compete in various international competitions.
