The Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao plans to join the oldest professional basketball pay-for-play league in Asia, the PBA. If all the necessary requirements will be meet by Manny Pacquiao he will suit up in one of the PBA expansion team.
According to a news report posted by Spin.Ph, Manny Pacquiao confirmed that there are plans to have him suit up for PBA expansion team Kia Motors, the only approved expansion team that has no amateur players.
Right after Manny Pacquiao’s victory against Timothy Bradley, the fighting congressman confirmed his plans of joining the PBA. Manny Pacquiao is a typical Filipino, who is very p(–foul word(s) removed–)ionate about basketball.
He also used to play professional basketball for the MP Gensan Warriors in Liga Pilipinas aside from using basketball as one of his cross training before his bouts.
If Manny Pacquiao can make it to the PBA, he will become the oldest rookie ever to enter the league and he will also be the professional world boxing title-holder to play in the PBA.
Aside from Kia Motors, the NLEX Road Warriors and Blackwater will join the Philippine Basketball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation in the upcoming 40th season of Asia’s first professional basketball league.
