YouTube sensation Mikey Bustos who was known for comical videos continues to dominate on the world’s largest video sharing site with his spectacular mouth cover of Avicii’s hit single, “Wake Me Up” which went viral online.
Mikey Bustos whose popular for featuring Filipino culture has made a comic cover of the song and has belted out the single with the use of his voice and mouth as his musical instrument to come-up with a cl(–foul word(s) removed–)y song.
Although the music video did not gear up with millions of page views, the remarkable piece has been featured on popular US site, Huffington Post. Mikey Bustos’s mouth cover has already generated more than 88,000 views in YouTube.
“I was completely surprised,” Mikey Bustos said in interview with Philstar.com on Thursday, March 20, 2014. “Of course it was an honour to receive recognition from a site as acclaimed as Huffington Post. It was a great thing to wake up to this morning for sure.”
Mikey Bustos also gave credit with his fellow hosts on Magic 89.9 in Good Times with Mo Twister and Sam Oh upon generating the video after a challenged called for its segment SUKAPELLA.
According to Mikey Bustos, he and his co-DJ’s were covering popular songs using their voice as the listeners will vote for who will win on the competition every week. He added that it took him for almost three days to complete the video.
The 32-year-old Filipino-Canadian singer is one of the finalist of Canadian Idol who became more prominent for his parody covers including Lady Gaga’s hit single “Born This Way” and Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball.
