PBA basketball star John Christopher (JC) Intal of Barako Bull proposed to TV host Bianca Gonzalez at the Ninoy Aquino International (NAIA) Terminal 2 on Thursday morning, March 20, 2014.
The 30-year-old J.C. Intal who formerly played college basketball with Ateneo made the proposal to his girlfriend since 2011, Bianca Gonzalez who was surprised with the unexpected gesture of his boyfriend in front of the NAIA Terminal crowd.
The TV host and Philippine Star columnist Bianca Gonzalez was at the airport for her trip to London this morning. The 31-year-old TV personality confirmed the engagement with JC Intal through her official Twitter account which was already flooded with mentions after the news of her engagement broke out.
According to one of Bianca’s companion, the proposal of JC Intal at NAIA happened at around 4:00 AM. Bianca Gonzales had already check-in but she was called to proceed to the check-in counter because of a package intended for her.
When Bianca Gonzalez came out, her friends greeted her one by one, giving her flowers which surprised the host. JC Intal connived with some of Bianca’s close friends to accompany him on his planned proposal. Aside from Bianca’s friends, JC Intal got the service of Prince Valeria who serenaded Bianca with the song “Baby I Love Your Way.”
The basketball star, JC Intal also prepared a banner at the airport with a message “Bianca please say yes.” JC Intal proposed romantically to Bianca by kneeling and asking the hand of his girlfriend, who was slightly confused on where to put the engagement ring but nevertheless, Bianca answered with a sweet, loving and emotional “Yes,” to JC Intal.
JC Intal’s family was also present during the engagement proposal as they welcome Bianca Gonzalez as the newest member of their family. The wedding details of JC Intal and Bianca Gonzales were not revealed to the media as of press time.
JC Intal and Bianca Gonzales closed celebrity friends took to Twitter and congratulated the lovely couple on their plans of settling down as one family.
