Filipino-American grand-finalist to the American Idol 2013 is set to sing the Philippine national anthem during the highly anticipated rematch between Filipino boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao vs. American contender Timothy Bradley Jr. this coming April 12, 2014.
Manny Pacquiao himself confirmed via his Twitter account on Saturday, March 15, 2014 that Jessica Sanchez will be singing the Philippine national anthem describing the Fil-Am singer as “talented.”
“The talented @JessicaESanchez will be singing the Philippine National Anthem at my fight with @TimBradleyJr on April 12,” Manny Pacquiao said in a statement.
Jessica Sanchez was noted by the Top Rank Promotions for singing the US national anthem during Pacquiao against Bradley fight in 2012 and a side-by-side rendition of the artist during Pacquiao vs. Brandon Rios for singing the Philippine and US national anthem.
The 18-year-old Jessica Sanchez came to prominence after setting a mark as the first American with Filipino roots to reach the American Idol 2014.
Meanwhile, fans and supporters are much more excited for the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao vs. Timothy Bradley at MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.
It would be recalled that Manny Pacquiao has been defeated by Timothy Bradley in the way of split decision in 2012.
