National Basketball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation (NBA) announced Friday that the first ever NBA Cafe in Asia has opened its doors in the Philippines, few months prior to the playoffs.
NBA Philippines posted an online invitation to Filipino basketball fans and enthusiasts saying:
“The game is about to begin. The first-ever NBA Cafe in the world has arrived in Manila! Take a timeout and dribble down to NBA Cafe Manila now.”
“Basketball fans in the country now have a place dedicated and designed specifically for them,” said Nian Rigor, (–foul word(s) removed–)istant vice president of Hoopla Inc.
The NBA Café, located at the L5 SkyPark of SM Aura on 26th Street corner McKinley Parkway, Fort Bonifacio, will showcase a dozen of basketball memorabilia, host live viewing parties honored by NBA talents, and show off a wide array of food choices – from American bar and grill favorites to Asian-Filipino cl(–foul word(s) removed–)ics.
“NBA Café will provide them a taste of the authentic NBA experience that they can share with family and friends, complete with great food, custom-made NBA Café Manila merchandise and the finest in basketball entertainment,” Rigor added.
The restaurant will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays and from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
Being the first in the region, NBA Café Manila is the second league-owned restaurant outside of US.
