Kapuso actor Mark Herras got the praises and admiration of netizens after his courageous revelation as a “single father” during an exclusive interview with “Startalk” on Sunday, February 23, 2014.
Filipino netizens lauded Mark Herras revelation of having a daughter with his 32-year-old senior handler after he revealed to the public that the rumors of him being a single father was true.
During the interview with Startalk show host Ricky Lo and Butch Francisco he answered the rumors without any reservation despite the fact that his statement could make or break and even ruin his reputation as an actor.
The 27-year-old Mark Herras was quoted as saying “First time kong sasabihin sa masa, sa buong tao, sa media, sa TV. Mayroon na po akong anak. She’s a girl, three months old. Siya po ‘yung baby ko sa buong buhay ko. ‘Yun po ‘yung gusto kong sabihin sa lahat ng tao. ‘Yun po ‘yung gusto kong aminin,” the actor, Mark Herras explained.
When Mark Herras was asked by the host Ricky Lo about his future plan with the mother of his baby, since Mark is not living together at this moment, the actor answered “Actually po sa ngayon, ang napag-usapan po namin [ay] kailangan naming magtulungan para sa baby, para masuportahan ‘yung bata para mapalaki nang maayos. Lahat ng pinag-uusapan namin is tungkol sa baby. Tsaka na ‘yung sa amin, kung ano ‘yung mangyayari sa amin someday or kung anuman,” Mark Herras said.
The “Rhodora X” star, Mark Herras also admitted during the interview that he was hesitant at first to admit that he has already a three-month old child named “Ada.” The main reason of his silence is the uncertainty of his fans reactions but instead he got all the support and admiration of his followers as well as the netizens who watched the exclusive interview.
Mark Herras is really proud with his achievement of being a father although he was doubtful at first. The Kapuso star was quoted as saying “Siyempre artista po ako. Unang-una ‘pag nalaman ng tao na pag mayroon kang anak di ba syempre maaapektuhan ‘yung trabaho mo, ‘yung buhay mo, ‘yung career mo. Pero by this time kasi, kaya ako naging matapang kasi sawang-sawa na akong magdeny eh. I’m very proud of Ada dahil siya po ang aking first baby girl. Kaya po ako umaamin ngayon sa harap ng maraming tao, sa studio, sa TV, sa media para po matigil na ‘yung kakatanong nila sa akin tungkol sa baby,” he said.
Because of Mark Herras love to his one and only child “Ada” he courageously ended the controversy surrounding his identity as a single father which earned him admiration and praises not only from his fans but all who understands his situation as an actor.
Mark Herras apology to his fans for not admitting the truth during the past few months earned him enough respect not only from his fans but also from netizens.
