Marian Rivera Visits Bantayan Island’s Back to Sea Project

Kapuso actress Marian Rivera visits the beautiful island paradise of Bantayan in Northern Cebu spending actual time with the fishermen as part of her relief and recovery effort after the devastation brought about by super typhoon Yolanda.

The 29-year-old Marian Rivera, the campaign amb(–foul word(s) removed–)adress of the Kapuso Adopt-A-Bangka initiative of GMA Network’s Kapuso foundation facilitates the official turn-over and ceremonial bangka send-off activity in Bantayan Island on February 18, 2014.

According to the official announcement made by Bantayan Back to Sea Project, Marian Rivera spent the day with the fisherfolks and their families at Bantayan Island Nature Park and Resort.

The Bantayan Back to Sea Project is one of the major initiative of Bantayan island residents headed by Mr. Allan Monreal with the participation of fishermen in Bantayan Island and the full support of the GMA Kapuso Foundation’s Adopt-A-Bangka initiative.

Bantayan Back to Sea is part of the newly formed Damgo sa Kaugmaon Inc., (Dream for Tomorrow) a SEC-Registered NGO in Bantayan Island. The launching of the NGO was held last February 10, 2014 attended by various news media organizations, volunteer tourist, donors and most of all the fishermen beneficiaries of the project.
