The last year scoring champion Anthony admitted he plans to be a free agent on summer but he uttered that New York will not send him to other team nor he will ask for a trade.

”I know for a fact I’m not being traded,” Anthony said at the NBA’s All-Star weekend.

”There’s two things: I know for a fact I’m not being traded and I’m not going in there and saying I want to be traded.” (Statements from (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated press article)

The 6’8 forward also bared that pay check that could amount to around 30 million doesn’t matter to him but what is his concern is to have a strong squad which could contend for a title.

”So as far as the money goes, that’s not my concern. My concern is being able to compete on a high level, at a championship level coming at this last stretch of my career.”

”I talk to people all the time. I always say if it takes me taking a pay cut, I’ll be the first one on Mr. Dolan’s step saying, ‘Take my money, let’s build something stronger,”The 29-year old star said. (Statements from (–foul word(s) removed–)ociated press article)

The Knicks are currently below .500, toting a 20-32 record at the All-star break despite Anthony’s productive season with 27.3 points and 8.6 rebounds averages per game.

Carmelo Anthony started his NBA career playing for the Denver Nuggets after he was drafted 3rd overall during the 2003 NBA Draft. Anthony was then traded to the New York Knicks several days prior to the 2011 NBA Trade deadlines.
