Team Hill Prevails Over Team Webber in Rising Stars Challenge

BBVA’s Team Hill defeated equally talented Team Webber with a 142-36 victory in the Rising star challenge of the Friday night (Saturday PH time) All-star at New Orleans.

Sophomore Detroit’s big man Andrei Drummond had a solid game with 30 points and 25 rebounds, a record in most boards grabbed in the annual competition to capture the MVP honors.

However, the highlight of the night was not Drummond’s all-game aggressiveness but the one-on-one duel happened between explosive guards Cleveland’s Dion Waiters and New York’s Tim Hardaway Jr. in the second half.

The two young gunners exchanged bunch of three-pointers and couple of drives , dazzling the crowd, which includes NBA stars Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Dwight Howard.

Waiters had 31 points, mostly coming in the stretch when he took over the game for his squad, which composed mostly of sophomore. Bradley Beal also chipped in 21 markers while Damian Lillard had 13 points, five rebounds and five (–foul word(s) removed–)ists for Team Hill, which drafted by former NBA star Grant Hill.

Hardaway Jr. on the other hand pumped in game-high 36 points including seven 3-pointers made, playing in front his Father who watched the game live. Philadelphia rookie Michael Carter-Williams also had 17 points, nine (–foul word(s) removed–)ists and six rebounds for Team Webber’s losing cause.
