The Iglesia Ni Cristo wanted to break the record held by Singapore as the largest charity walk so Guinness representative is currently present in the Manila to administer the tallying of crowd estimate in the INC Worldwide Walk for Super Typhoon “Yolanda” victims.

Kirstie Bennett, a Guinness adjudicator is in the Philippines today to administer and will make an official announcement if the country can break the record previously set by Singapore during the The New Paper Big Walk.
According to INC spokesperson Bro. Edwil Zabala, in a report posted by Inquirer, that as of 7:30, the latest crowd estimate of the Manila police stood at 500,000.
Meanwhile one of the official tally group, the SGV and Co. with Leo Matignas as representative noted that as of 11:00 AM only 31,000 were officially counted, a relatively lower number than the earlier count estimates by the PNP.
The SGV and Co., said that their group had been facing difficulty in counting the wristbands of participants, which would serve as the gauge in finalizing the official count. The company made a statement that they will release an unofficial count update at around 2:00 PM.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo, one of the Philippines largest religious denominations attempt to break the record set by Singapore’s The New Paper Big Walk, which had 77,500 participants held during the month of May of 2000.
