Katrina Manaog: Fil-Dutch Enters Second Round of The Voice Kids Netherlands

A Filipino-Dutch wonder kid Katrina Manaog is the newest international singing sensation for the Philippines as she successfully made it to the second round of The Voice Kids in Netherlands.

The 12-year-old aspiring singer, Katrina Manaog, was able to defeat her fellow teammates Bodine Hilhorst and Marlies Venderbos in a trio performances as they sang the song “Unfaithful” popularized by Rihanna.

The Fil-Dutch contestant of The Voice Kids Netherlands was chosen by three judges Nick Schilder, Simon Keizer and Angela Groothuizen which means that she is now qualified to the next round of the competition.

Katrina Manaog is part of Nick and Simon’s team was already chosen during the sing off to represent her team, together Isabel Provoost in the final battle to be held this coming February 21, 2014. 

During the post battle interview of The Voice Kids Netherlands, Katrina Manaog admitted that she was really surprised with her achievement so he is going to prepare and practice a lot for the finals.

Before making it to the battle rounds, the 12-year-old singer nailed the blind audition with flying colors as she impressed the judges with her amazing performance of the Whitney Houston’s hit song “I Have Nothing.” All of the four judges turned their chairs around and praised her performance aside from getting a standing ovation from the audience.

Katrina Manaog lives in Zaandam, the Netherlands and studies at Jozien van Dorst Vocal Academy. Aside from her singing abilities she also plays the piano and has taught herself on how to play the guitar.
