The lopsided victory of the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos on Sunday (US Time) with the final score at 43-8, has resulted into a new conspiracy theory that the Super Bowl XLVIII is rigged.
According to some reliable and unreliable sources, the Super Bowl 2014 was fixed or rigged as reported by International Business Times on February 4, 2014. IBTimes cited a news report from satire website Huzlers.com, with their headlines “Super Bowl XLVIII Believed to Have Been Rigged and Currently Under Investigation by NFL.”

According to the story posted by Huzlers, they claimed hat National Football League Officials “just found clues that might prove the game was rigged. Officials believe the Broncos intentionally lost the championship in exchange for a large amount of money.”
Although the website Huzlers.com admitted that their website is “a combination of real shocking news and satire news to keep tis visitors in a state of disbelief,” the website presented some factual evidence that the Super Bowl was rigged.
The website already garnered millions of hits since the first day they posted the article with their posts being featured in some of the world’s most popular blogs and even reliable big networks in the world.
Some conspiracy theorist also suggested that Super Bowl XLVIII even in the early goings of the game because of the sub-par performance of Peyton Manning and the excellent and well-executed defense of the Seattle Seahawks.
