NBI Files Charges Against Cedric Lee for Attacking Vhong Navarro

Controversial businessman Cedric Lee is set to receive charges from the National Bureau of Investigation after the NBI decided to file charges against him and other personalities who were accused of attacking the host actor Vhong Navarro in a condo unit at Fort Bonifacio.

According to Director Virgilio Mendez who was quoted as saying “I was informed na mayroong illegal detention and serious physical injuries or frustrated murder. I am not sure yet (which between the two),” the NBI stated.

He added further that “We are still trying to process na ma-identify ang kasama (ni Lee). Hindi na natin i-delay ito. Kahit hindi kumpleto ang identities i-file na natin” NBI Director Virgilio Mendez said in an interview with ABS-CBN.

The NBI also revealed to the media that Cedric Lee appeared to the NBI last Friday and promised to go back on Saturday but he failed to show up. The agency added that the charges are likely to be filed before the Department of Justice.

Vhong Navarro revealed the entire beating incident during an exclusive interview with Buzz ng Bayan on Sunday and pinpointed Cedric Lee and Denise Millet Cornejo were responsible for the attack.

One day after the statement of the actor, the accused Denise Millet Cornejo and Cedric Lee speak up and denied the extortion incident although the businessman admitted that he was one of those who beat up Vhong Navarro.

According to Cedric Lee he was just protecting his friend Denise Millet Cornejo who was under attacked by Vhong Navarro, who harrased Denise Cornejo according to Cedric Lee’s statement.

The NBI stated earlier that the agency has the copy of the CCTV footage of the incident, submitted to them by the guards of the condominium unit where Denise Millet Cornejo stayed.
