Houston Rockets slot man Dwight Howard is set to return in international basketball competition after six years as the seven-time all star was named in the 28-man pool of USA national team for the next three years.

Official announcement of the list is on Thursday (Friday PH time) bared the inclusion of Howard in the pool from which USAB chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski will choose 12-man rosters for both the World Cup in August and the 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Howard, who won a medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics has registered an intent to play in the 2014 World Cup in Spain according to Yahoo Sports.

Howard also played for Team USA in the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship and the 2006 World Championships.
