Alaska‘s energy guy Abueva twisted his right ankle in the second period of the game as he tried to get the rebound and screamed in pain while laying down at the backcourt.
The accident sent him to the bench all-through-out the game and finished the highly physical match scoreless in his seven minute appearance.
“Masakit… Fifty-fifty pa sa Wednesday,” Abueva said in an interview with Spin.ph.
He also insisted that he wanted to play against thw most popular team in the league or else not to see in action up to the next conference as the top-seeded Ginebra enjoys twice-to-beat incentive in their quarterfinal showdown.
“Pagalingin ko muna tong sprain ko bago ko isipin yan,” said current rookie of the year Abueva.
Alaska will try to survive Ginebra tomorrow, 8:00 pm at the Mall of Asia Arena.
