NBA receives $40,000 from Malone, West fines

NBA collected $40,000 after penalizing Sacramento coach Michael Malone on Friday game (Saturday, PHL time) and Indiana’s David West on a Saturday match (Sunday, PHL time).

Michael Malone and David West was fined because of their actions in their respective games.

Malone paid $25,000 for screaming at official Marc Davis as the referee made a controversial call on Sacramento‘s loss against the Memphis Grizzlies, 90-91.

Davis called for a jumpball instead of a foul with only 1.9 seconds remaining that erupted Malone‘s emotion. Grizzlies won the pocession and wasted the time.

On the other hand, West was caught elbowing Los Angeles Clippers‘ Blake Griffin as they are battling to grab the loose ball in the first half that resulted to a flagrant 2 call and sent to the dug-out.

The Pacers still able to crash the Clippers despite loosing West and frontliners Luis Scola and All-star center Roy Hibbert in the entire fourth period.

Paul George finished with 36 points while Lance Stephenson contributed double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Pacers who remained on top of the East Conference with 32-7 card.
