Academy Awards 2014 Nominees Official List Announced

The 86th Academy Awards official list of nominees were revealed on January 16, 2014, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California. The list of nominees were announced by Cheryl Boone Isaacs, the President of the Academy and actor Chris Hemsworth.

The Oscars

The awarding ceremony of the 86th Academy Awards (Oscars) will honor the best films of 2013, which will take place at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California this coming March 2, 2014. The show will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres.

Based upon the official list of nominees, the movies American Hustle and Gravity tied for the most number of nominations with a total of ten each.
