Bruno Mars Prepares for Super Bowl 2014 Halftime Show

Filipino-American singer Bruno Mars is currently preparing for his team up with international rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers for the halftime show of one of the world’s most popular sporting event the Super Bowl 2014.

The National Football League have chosen the 28-year-old Bruno Mars to perform at Super Bowl Halftime Show scheduled this coming Sunday, February 2, 2014 at around 6:25PM EST, at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show is an NFL Network productions directed by Hamish Hamilton and executive producer Ricky Kirshner. 

Bruno Mars made a name for himself and he is more than qualified fro the much-coveted spot. His current latest album titled “Unorthodox Jukebox” is currently No. 9 on the Billboard chars.

The Fil-Am singer had four No. 1 singles as a solo artist namely: “When I Was Your Man,” “Just The Way You Are,” “Locked out of Heaven,” and “Grenade.” Bruno Mars was also featured on B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You,” which went to No. 1 in 2010.

Bruno Mars was born as Pete Gene Hernandez in Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in the neighborhood of Waikiki. His father Peter Hernandez is a half Puerto Rican and half Jewish while his mother Bernadette “Bernie” San Pedro Bayot is a Filipino who immigrated to Hawaii from the Philippines.

The Super Bowl XLVIII is an upcoming American football game featuring the AFC Champions (New England Patriots or Denver Broncos) and the NFC champion (San Francisco 49ers or Seattle Seahawks) to decide the National Football League (NFL) champions for the 2013 season.
