January 2014 LET Exam Coverage and Programs Released

The Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) Exam or the Teachers board examination will be conducted this coming January 26, 2014 featuring thousands of Elementary and Secondary Education graduates will try to hurdle the Teachers Board Exam.

LET Coverage

The Professional Regulation Commission and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) released the program and coverage of the exam for Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers.

According to the PRC there will be separate booklets that will be used for the General Education (GE) and the Professional Education (PE) subjects for both the Elementary and Secondary Level in the January 2013 LET Exam.

Here’s the Elementary and Secodary Program of Examination:

For Elementary Teacher Examinees Only

6:30am – 7:45 am – General Instructions/ Filling-up of forms
8:00am – 10:00am – General Education (40%)
11:00am – 2:00pm – Professional Education (60%)

For Secondary Teacher Examinees Only

6:30am – 7:45 am – General Instructions/ Filling-up of forms
8:00am – 10:00am – General Education (20%)
11:00am – 2:00pm – Professional Education (40%)
3:00pm – 6:30 pm – Specialization (40%)

The Coverage of Examination includes details for General Education (GE), Professional Education (PE) and specialization. General Education (GE) covers English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences subjects.

The Professional Education (PE) for both the Elementary and Secondary Level is composed of teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, (–foul word(s) removed–)sment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching.

For Secondary Level their are 10 specializations with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Social Studies or Social Sciences, Values Education, MAPEH, Agriculture and Fishery Arts and TLE (Technology and Livelihood Education).
