The Miss Tourism International 2013 title-holder Angelie Dione Gomez returns to the Philippines with the crown giving the country a back-to-back honor in the world’s prestigious beauty pageant.
Angeli Dione Gomez follows the footsteps of the 2012 winner Miss Rizzini Alexis Gomez who won the title last year. The 20-year-old Cebuana beauty queen arrived in Manila on Tuesday afternoon from Malaysia.
The 2013 Miss Tourism International was held recently in Malaysia on New Year’s Eve. Angeli Dione Gomez is expected to meet with the local press for a series of interview. She was also presented during a homecoming press conference in Quezon City.
The former Bb. Pilipinas candidate and Mutya ng Pilipinas Miss Tourism International winner, Angeli Dione Gomez arrived at the NAIA Terminal 4 from AirAsia Zest flight from Malaysia.
Angeli Dione Gomez is the third Filipino to win the Miss Tourism International crown after Miss Maria Esperanza Manzano in 2000 and Rizzini Alexis Gomez of Cebu City in 2012.
The 5’6 Angeli Dione Gomez joined the elite list of Philippine international beauty pageant winner for the year 2014. Megan Young won the Miss World 2013 title, Johanna Datul also won Miss Supranational 2013 in Belarus, becoming the first Asian to be crowned in the pageant’s five-year history while Miss Bea Rose Santiago won the Miss International 2013 title.
