Pagpag Starring KathNiel Surpassed P100-Million Mark in Ticket Sales

The lone horror-entry movie of the Metro Manila Film Festival, “Pagpag: Siyam Na Buhay” has already surpassed the P100-million mark in ticket sales, making the movie a certified box office.

The movie features Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla got a huge following from their fans and made some entertainment achievement as they broke the Philippine record as the highest-earning horror movie of all time.

the confirmation of the movie’s box office income was announced through Mico del Rosario of Star Cinema through his Instagram account on Monday night, December 30, 2013.

Kathryn Bernardo also expressed her happiness with the success of the movie through her Twitter post. She was quoted as saying “What a great way to end my year. Congratulations team Pagpag. We did it! #HappyNewYear #blessed pic.twitter.com/uWHLpOV4VT,” Bernardo wrote.

The MMFF-entry movie “Pagpag” is based on a popular Filipino superstitious belief that one should not go straight home after visiting a wake as this may attract evil spirits.
