The governor of Laguna, ER Ejercito criticized once again the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) for its alleged “palakasan” system concerning the theater distribution of MMFF-entry movies. ER Ejercito topbills the action film “Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story.”

The 50-year-old ER Ejercito previously starred in highly-acclaimed MMFF entries “Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story” and “El Presidente” during the previous Metro Manila Film Festivals.
The latest movie of ER Ejercito titled “Boy Golden: The Arturo Porcuna Story” is one of the official entry in the highly-anticipated MMMFF 2013 which will start showing this coming Christmas Day December 25, 2013.
The movie is directed by Chito Rono, it also stars KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Eddie Garcia, Leo Martinez and Baron Giesler.
During an interview with showbiz reporter Jobert Sucaldito and Ahwel Paz on DZMM program “Mismo” on Thursday, ER Ejercito accused the organizers of the MMFF of giving an “unfair advantage” to established production companies and films that star big names.
