Former UAAP MVP Bobby Ray Parks of the National University (NU) Bulldogs and Sinag Pilipinas will be leaving for the United States this coming April as he will try to pursue his ultimate basketball dreaming, to join the National Basketball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation (NBA).
The Sinag Pilipinas standout, a member of the Philippine national men’s basketball team that captured the Gold medal in the basketball tournament of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Myanmar, opted to undergo further training in the United States.
In an interview with ABS-CBN’s TJ Manotoc, Bobby Ray Parks was quoted as saying “Focus ko muna grumaduate [from NU], magtapos sa March tapos end of April pa ako aalis,” he stated. “Tapos training po muna para sa sarili ko tapos kung ano na po ‘yung chances ko sa NBA ‘yun na po ‘yun try ko na lang po.” Parks said.
The son of the late PBA legend Bobby Parks, Bobby Ray Parks Jr., played his last game as an NU Bulldog early this month when they were crashed out of the PCCL race against the FEU Tamaraws.
According to the agent of Bobby Ray Parks, Charlie Dy, the young athlete would really like to pursue a basketball career in the United States of America as part of the elite National Basketball (–foul word(s) removed–)ociation.
