Bea Rose Santiago Shrugged Off Citizenship Rumors

Bea Rose Santiago of the Philippines shrugged off rumors about her citizenship after winning the Miss International beauty pageant on December 17 in Tokyo, Japan.

Bea Rose Santiago Residency

The 23-year-old Bea Rose Santiago was alleged by an entertainment blog as reported by ABS-CBN, that she was being eyed to become the Binibining Pilipinas Universe but this did not materialize because the Alabang-born beauty queen has some residency issues.

On Wednesday’s interview with “Mornings@ANC” Santiago stated that the residency issue doesn’t matter anymore because she has already bagged the Miss International title.

She was quoted as saying “For Binibini Miss Universe, you have to stay here for at least six months. My p(–foul word(s) removed–)port has many stamps in it. I don’t know if it’s that. But I really don’t care right now. I won. Ara was our representative for Miss Universe. I think it doesn’t matter anymore right now,” she said.

Bea Rose Santiago added further that “I was born in Alabang and then I moved with my grandparents in Masbate. I went to elementary and I went to two years of high school there because my grandma is a teacher. I was raised in a province. When I was 15, I moved to Toronto and continued school there until college.”

The beauty queen said she returned to the Philippines only last year. She also stated that she can understand Ilonggo, Bicolano, and Waray. She is also fluent in Tagalog and Bisaya because she grew up with her grandparents.

We will upload the video interview of Bea Rose Santiago as soon as the video will be available.
